Hello everyone it’s Ben from Printerbase and
in this video we’ll be taking a look at the PTouch D600VP label printer from brother.
This is desktop, office label printer, packed with features, and offering the fastest label
printing in its class. Both an AC adapter as well as 6 AA batteries can power the D600
and there’s an auto power off feature that kicks in after a minute or so, saving energy
or battery power. Automatic tape detection helps move things along faster as you don’t
need to manually tell the machine what size and kind of tape you’re using and the automatic
cutter works brilliantly making your labels look nice and tidy. It can print on tape ranging
from 3.5mm to 24mm, and comes with a 24mm sample tape, so you can get printing straight
away. The D600 uses Brother TZe tape which is available in a range of materials, sizes
and colours. I really like this design as it has a wider keyboard than many competitive
label printers, allowing you to type a little faster and with fewer mistakes. There are
14 fonts, 617 symbols and 99 frames to choose from, making personalised labels simple to
make, especially with brother’s PT editor software. You can also save up to 99 abel
designs for use in the future. Another feature I love about this machine, it has a really
nice display, it accurately shows what’s going to be printed. the D600 works great as a stand
alone machine, and also runs with Windows Vista, 7 & 8, as well as Mac OS10.6 and up.
It’s just an around fun and easy to use machine. Perfect for bringing order to an office, laying
claim to something, or even warning and instruction labels. I personally have the plug sockets
in my office labeled, so people don’t unplug something that’s important. It’s just one
of those things, you realise how useful it is, until you’ve used it for a bit. It can
really change the way you work, and save a lot of hassle. If you’d like to know anymore
