support me on Patreon. You can also get access to all my premium content. So let’s start. First, let’s import the files we need into
After Effects. You can download the full project and the files from the link in the description. Create a new composition and name it: logo
animation. I’m using the FULL HD 1080 pixels preset with
30 frames per second and 8 seconds long. Create a new solid and name it: background. Go to effects and presets panel and search
for: gradient ramp. Apply it to your composition, and adjust its
settings like this. Change this value to 540. This one to 3000. Switch ramp shape to radial ramp. And click on swap colors. Now we have a nice looking background. Drag your logo into your logo animation composition. Right-click on it, and pre-compose it. Name this new composition: gray. Don’t forget to select: move all attributes
to the new composition. Go to effects and presets panel and search
for: tint. Just apply it to your gray composition. You
don’t have to do any changes on it. Select this layer and click control D to duplicate
it. Rename the new composition: colored. Go to effect controls panel and delete the
tint effect from it. Click here to select your rounded rectangle
tool. Change its fill color to the predominant color
of your logo. Also, make sure to set the stroke color to
none. Draw a shape like this. You don’t have to
be precise. Click on rectangle 1, then rectangle 1 path,
and unlink the size values. Now, change both of this values to 40. Our shape became a nice circle. Select your shape layer and click P to open
the position. Drag it to the right like this, until is not
visible anymore. Then align it vertically. Click on this stopwatch to create a keyframe. Click here, and select title safe. This will
help us orientate with the new positions. Move your playhead to 1 second, and drag your
shape to the left like this. It should be placed in this zone. Select both keyframes, and click F9 to easy
ease them. Then open your graph editor and create a curve
like this. Now, with the shape layer selected, go to
edit, and click on: split layer. Select the new layer and click U to display
all its keyframes. Select both of them, and delete them. Now, open the rectangle path 1. And click the size stopwatch to create a new
keyframe. Click U to close all the properties that don’t
have keyframes on them. Move forward to 2 seconds. Change the x value of the size to 15. And the y value to 380. In fact, you should
choose this value according to your logo height. Make it a little taller. Select both keyframes, and click F9 to easy
ease them. Then open your graph editor and change its
curves like this. Keep this layer selected, and split it again. Select the new layer, click U to display its
keyframes, select all of them and delete them. Learn these last steps, because we’ll repeat
them one more time very soon. With the layer selected, click P to open its
position settings. Create a keyframe in this position, then move
forward to 3 seconds. Drag your logo to the left. Until it gets to this bar. Move to 4 seconds, and drag your logo to the
right like this. Select all its keyframes, and click F9 to
easy ease them. Then open your graph editor and change its
curves like this. Repeat the steps I’ve told you. Split the layer, and delete all its old keyframes. Now, open the rectangle path 1 again. Click the size stopwatch to create a new keyframe. Click U to close all the properties that don’t
have keyframes on them. Move 5 frames forward, and change this value
to 15. Move another 5 frames forward, and change
both sizes values to 30. Now move again 5 frames forward, and set both
values to 0. Select all these 4 keyframes, and click F9
to easy ease them. Until now, our logo animation should look
like this. Now we have to make the logo appear, and change
its color. It will be easy, follow me. Select your rectangle tool, and change its
fill color to white. Now draw a rectangle between these 2 bars.
The idea is to cover all the action area of our logo animation. You can switch off title safe. We don’t need
it anymore. Move your playhead on 2 seconds, then grab
your rectangle and drag it like this. Try to place it as perfect as you can on this
side of the bar. Grab this pick whip, and parent our rectangle
to shape layer 3. Rename the rectangle layer: matte gray. Click control D to duplicate it, and rename
the new layer: matte colored. Grab your colored logo layer, and drag it
like this on your timeline, to make it start from around 3 seconds. Place your matte gray layer above the gray
logo layer. And the matte colored layer above the colored
logo layer. Select you gray layer, and change its track
matte to: alpha matte. Now, select your colored layer, and change
its track matte to: alpha inverted matte. Wow, our logo reveal is almost complete, and
it’s looking awesome. Move to 5 seconds on your timeline, and create
your text. You can use any font and color you want, as long as it fits your project.
Be creative! Align your text, then go to effects and presets
panel, and search for: random fade up. Apply it to your text layer. Click U to reveal its keyframes. Then grab this keyframe and move it to 5 seconds
and 20 frames, to make your text animation more dynamic. Let’s check the final result. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial on how to
