Island hopping to Australia’s symbol & countless repairs – Sailing the South Great Barrier Reef

so we going to turn cold 70 70 don’t know that’s much to see there but we need to go back up the coast do some washi shopping get internet because I’m pdp-1 into that now and yeah we’ll see what we do after that [Music] why common bond in this episode we are taking you along the coast from Bundaberg trucking to which is the south part of the Great Barrier Reef oh look at the colors [Music] hi guys we have some sort of big mission for today another day another fix basically the headsail went off the rail so it’s only sticking at the top and the bottom so it’s not taking any wind or whatever so it’s useless so we literally had to motor all of the way yesterday a because there wasn’t very much wind but b-because with no way in and no sail well you can’t really do much so yeah today we are taking advantage of a non to windy day so that we can try and get it fixed because if it’s windy there it’s gonna be impossible to do so yeah that’s what we’re doing now [Music] sale is up there’s been accomplished let’s try to put it back up know how we have to do is to squeeze its back easy rail [Music] this is the end of a fairly long day I’m glad that we managed to do that repair because to be honest I didn’t have much faith in us to begin with but it’s all done really happy we can sail again that’s perfect now I’m gonna go and get some rest because tomorrow we’re doing something super exciting I mean you can’t come to Australia and not do that so literally I cannot wait [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] hi guys so here we are in a kangaroo sanctuary we’re about to feed kangaroos so we drove here all the way from the boat because we wanted to come here and help so this is a sanctuary where they take baby kangaroos with Mama being killed and they try to raise them so they also tried to raise a bit of money to help them a bit more so yeah that’s what we’re about to do [Music] my fingers oh you do ‘quite men [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] it’s the plan of the neighbors you still have ten hours to reach kept obey but there is zero wind I mean two knots so we are waiting and whenever the the winner is gonna pick up will finish Chelsea girl while we cannot move what do you want to do cool well I was trying to do the dishes and cook and stuff like this but I had to go downstairs I need me seasick so conclusion I should not do clashes do you mean I mean you know I’m not getting seasick so find anything to do while we waiting the conduit downstairs so I might as well do it here so I took all of the stuff that I need any I am cooking we are moving yeah the wind is finally picking up we’re not moving very fast but we are moving a lot faster four knots compared to this fall afternoon that’s for not smoke to be fair the wind is only around five knots so it’s it’s quite good are we moving at four knots so yeah we’re moving but it’s 4:00 p.m. so it’s gonna be night very soon but it’s okay yeah we manage we can do that night the weiners finally picked up it’ll be two months – be careful what you wish for it’s either we’ve got no way that’s all for too much Murphy if I meet you one time trouble for you so yeah we allow it be there in an hour and a half which is way quicker than expected yeah morning guys we are in Cape Capricorn and Cape obeyed so we did make it eventually yesterday night we arrived quite late around 9:30 we couldn’t film anything because who was like really really really dark but yeah we finally made it we almost runned it ourselves because it’s quite shallow here but you know we’re a cat so that’s okay hi guys this is where we are going today do you monkey island – this would be very very good excited mr. wise that you can get rid of yep I love kangaroos let’s make angers on this island it would be one [Music] [Applause] [Music] first time with a spinnaker so excited [Music] I’m a bit stressed that it’s okay I’m more excited in stress [Music] [Music] we are on you monkey island it’s really nice white beach lots of rocks and now we’re just exploring having fun are you gonna climb that yeah all the way to the top okay and sure I’m waiting for you here I think I can the nice mountain okay maybe it’s not a Montaigne but it’s not a bad place who’s down there [Applause] [Music] it’s about 6:00 in the morning and I haven’t slept at all not at all during the whole night it’s very very windy the Anchorage is very uncomfortable the bird keeps moving back and forth it’s really not nice on top of that during the night our bridle broke I think it’s a bit awful because we put it on the wrong plate so the angle wasn’t right but yeah we had to get up during the night con deck and change everything but right now we just want to get out of here [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so today we’re gonna go to the west side of great keppel island there’s a he restaurant if you bow so a cold beer yes maybe nice and yeah it’s only a five kilometres walk to get there so let’s enjoy the walk it’s a beautiful day blue sky all right so we go [Music] holiday what the plan because we need to go to rockhampton to pick up a diving tank maybe we should go to the pepper Bay Marina for one night that would give us some time to in the boats I don’t know what you think we need to that’s just like all of this work everything is we just need to do something we just need to wash everything with keep water finally we’re gonna get that one spider tank currently this whole purpose of the trip everything started to die [Music] ten feet legs [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] hi guys we are on our way back we stopped on the beach we’ve had lunch just for a bit of the afternoon on the beach and now we are going back to the cat [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] join us in the next
