  1. How would you select an object and keep it active but hidden so that you could overlay the an object behind another one? Like you did at the end with keeping the "S" active but hidden so that you could blend the other letters with with it?

  2. Great Tutorial, But I'm having trouble with the Pencil Tool. I made sure the Last initial was selected, and I made sure that the vector mask was selected, but nothing happened when went over it with the pencil tool. What do you suggest?

  3. Thank you so much for such an informative tutorial.  Your clear and concise instructions allowed me to create a stunning monogram logo.  One of the best tutorials I have run across.

  4. As i am trying to interweave them and choose the pencil tool and select the middle latter and hide it and click on the last latter but when i choose pencil i got the message the resterized the layer and it not work

  5. I was able to do every thing but Intertwine my Initials. When I would attempt to intertwine mines looked nothing like yours. I know I'm not missing a step but Im gonna try it again tomorrow.

  6. Love it. I was able to follow nicely. The Com – J did not work for me but I was able to do it right clicking. Thank you

  7. Thanks for the video, I was wondering why when I use the pencil it only goes transparent instead of going away? The only thing I know I did differently from you was the font.

  8. hi, I very much to Photoshop. I have followed your tutorial but some of the come of click on tools are same as you. I am using Photoshop 7.0. Are you using the same version for this tutorial. If not same please advise me a link for a tutorial using Photoshop 7.0.

  9. i have a problem
when i try to select the letter S
the selection doesn't go around all the letter, only the text not including the blending
    what i should do ??

  10. I have a question when you intertwine the letters with my situation, the S is selected and hidden, then i select the G but it doesn't do anything, it's adding onto the white on the mask and not taking it away, how can I fix this problem?

  12. Wonderful! Can't remember how to change the letters for future use. Each letter is opening up in a separate window. If I change the text, it isn't reflected in the final image. Can you tell me what it is I am doing wrong?

  13. This tutorial was perfect until is arrived to "the S is selected and hidden" point.
Well, the S is selected and hiden, the layer mask of the G is selected, but the pencil don't affect any letter. How so?

  14. As someone who happens to be very dyslexic but loves are i find your videos the best. you actually teach me in a clean and easy way to learn thank you 🙂

  15. Absolutely loved your video and style of teaching – so much so that I wish to learn. But I am totally ignorant of all the programs I need to have to be able to Design a Monogram LOGO of Interwoven Initials. I do not have Photoshop on my computer. Do I only need to get the Photshop + Lightroom you advertise? Or is there more I need? I went on the Photoshop Chat and they said that I would need to get an illustrator?? Please let me know exactly what programs I need starting out from scratch, to learn this. I have Windows 7 Pro and 64 bit op. Please advise. Thank you.

  16. I'm using CS 5 and most things worked great until inter locking the fonts and then nothing worked? I have a warning that the smart object must be rasterized? When I cancel I get another warning saying smart object is not directly editable???

  17. Hey guys if your trying to intertwine the letters just do this Instead of "Normal" on the pencil tool selection, Use "Subtract". Use the marquee tool to stay on course. This will help you blend the letters together, something he doesnt mention in the video.

  18. Perfect step by step instructions! I love how you point out where we are supposed to be looking! Thank you soooo much! I’m very much a beginner and this video has helped me out more than any other tutorials! Keep up the great work and I hope your other tutorials are like this. If so, I’ll be subscribing.

  19. Sorry, but I had problems with being able to use the pencil tool. Photoshop is telling me I have to rasterize it, and when I do the pencil tool does not fade out the letters as I would like. Any help with how to get this going?

  20. Martyyyyy i need your help..can you make an ssg logo/ supreme student government tutorial…. plss.. its for our school.. can u send it to my email…hehe

  21. OMG!! Got this Video at the right moment. I had my ICT practicals tom and I wanted to find how to make a monogram logo. Found the right vid. Though it's a little complicated, but still. It's very good

  22. Instead of "Normal" on the pencil tool selection, Use "Dissolve". And Select the particular letter you want to dissolve "with black background in layer" then move mouse on that letter to make change. Solution of interweave problem.
